Abstract

High level of organizational commitment is related to the business performance and also increased the profitability, productivity and employee performance. The research objective of this paper is to identify whether there is an impact of organization commitment towards employees’ performance at PT. Astajaya Nirwighnata, Medan. According to Samsuddin (2018) Organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on employees’ performance. Interpertation of these results is that variations in performance changes are positively influenced by commitment, or the higher the commitment, then the better the performance. The research method in this study is using the quantitative research. In this research the writer will use census sampling. All of PT. Astajaya Nirwighnata, Medan back office employees will be taken as sample in order collect data regarding the organizational commitment and employees’ performance at the company. The result of coefficient correlation is 0.565 which shows moderate and positive correlation. The coefficient determination result is 31.9%. The regression equation is as follows: Y = 8.937 + 0.898 X. The result of hypothesis Z-test shows that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that organizational commitment has impact towards employee performance at PT. Astajaya Nirwighnata, Medan. Based on the finding, the company is recommended to improve the organizational commitment and employees’ performance by developing a family environment atmosphere and distribute a feedback form to their employees.
