Abstract

Hospital infection is an infection that patients got when undergoing hospitalization. The spread of infections in hospitals generally occurs in three ways, namely through air, sparks and direct contact with patients. In Indonesia the average incidence of nosocomial infections was 9.1%. The study was conducted in 11 hospitals in DKI Jakarta in 2004 indicating that 9.8% of inpatients received nosocomial infections during treatment, the incidence of nosocomial infection in DR. Sardjito Yogyakarta in 2005 amounted to 7.95%, RWUP Dr.Wahidin Sudirohusodo in the third trimester of 2009 of 4.4%, data from nosocomial infection control committee RSI Klaten obtained incidence of nosocomial infections in 2012 is still high including about 15% while the incidence of nosocomia infection in Siloam Hospitals Makassar itself from 2015-2016 was 9.09%. This kind of infection can be prevented through the behavior of six-step hand-washing (hand hygiene) of health workers at the hospital. In Siloam Hospital Makassar itself, every non medical officers, HCA, ambulance and cleaning service often have direct contact with patient and around patient's environment. The methodology of this research uses quantitative with univariate analysis to distinguish the description of the implementation of six handwashing step on non medical officer in Siloam Hospitals Makassar. The results of the research showed that there were less than six steps of hand washing because 96% did the first step, 94% did the second step, 84% did the third step, 86% did the fourth step, 84% did the fifth step and 90 % who took the sixth step. Conclusion, among 49 respondents youngest age is 23 years old and oldest 41 years old and result of research indicate that majority of respondent have not do 6 step wash hand well that is as much as 53% / Infeksi rumah sakit adalah infeksi yang didapatkan pasien ketika menjalani perawatan selama di rumah sakit. Penyebaran infeksi di rumah sakit umumnya terjadi melalui tiga cara yaitu melalui udara, percikan dan kontak langsung dengan pasien. Di Indonesia rata-rata kejadian infeksi nosokomial sekitar 9,1 % penelitian dilakukan di 11 rumah sakit di DKI Jakarta 2004 menunjukka 9,8 % paisen rawat inap mendapat infeksi nosokomial selama dirawat, angka kejadian infeksi nosokomial di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta di tahun 2005 sebesar 7,95 %, di RSUP Dr.Wahidin Sudirohusodo pada trimester III tahun 2009 sebesar 4,4 %, data dari panitia pengendali infeksi nosokomial RSI Klaten diperoleh kejadian infeksi nosokomial pada tahun 2012 masih termasuk tinggi yaitu sekitar 15 %, sedangkan angka kejadian infeksi nosokomia di Siloam Hospitals Makassar sendiri dari tahun 2015-2016 adalah 9,09 %. Hal ini dapat dicegah melalui perilaku enam langkah cuci tangan (hand hygiene) petugas kesehatan di rumah sakit. Di Siloam Hospitals Makassar sendiri, setiap petugas non medis baik security, HCA, pengemudi ambulans dan cleaning service sering kontak langsung dengan pasien maupun lingkungan sekitar pasien. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis univariate untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan enam langkah cuci tangan pada petugas non medis di Siloam Hospitals Makassar. Hasil dari penelitan menunjukan kurang terlaksananya enam langkah mencuci tangan karena masih menunjukkan sebanyak 96% melakukan langakah pertama, 94% yang melakukan langkah kedua, sebanyak 84 % melakukan langkah ketiga, 86% melakukan langkah keempat, sebanyak 84 % yang melakukan langkah kelima dan sebanyak 90% yang melakukan langkah keenam. Kesimpulan di antara 49 responden usia termuda adalah 23 tahun dan tertua berusia 41 tahun dan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar responden belum melakukan 6 langkah cuci tangan dengan baik yaitu sebanyak 53 %.
