Abstract

The purposes is to identify the description of surgical safety implementation in surgery process in operating theatre siloam sriwijaya hospital of palembang. The research used descriptive research design with survey approach design. The study population was all inpatients undergoing surgery. The sampling technique was conducted by accidental sampling of 62 respondents. The research instrument used a surgical safety checklist at sign in phase. Data analysis using univariate analysis. The result of the research shows that the operation of surgical safety is at signing phase in surgery procedure at Operation Theater of Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital Palembang done (25,81% - 100%) according to WHO Surgical Safety Checklist. A total of 62 respondents (0%) were not asked about the risk of airway disturbance and no pulse oximetry in the preparation room. Pulse oximetry is given to patients in the operating room. It is suggest for hospital to supervise the implementation of surgical safety especially in sign in phase. To improve the performance of the surgical team with conformity to SOP / Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan surgical safety fase sign in pada pasien yang menjalani operasi pembedahan di operating theatre Rumah Sakit Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang. Penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif dengan rancangan pendekatan survey. Populasi penelitian adalah semua pasien rawat inap yang menjalani operasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan accidental sampling sejumlah 62 responden. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan surgical safety checklist pada fase sign in. Analisa data menggunakan analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian didapatkan pelaksanaan surgical safety yaitu pada fase sign in dalam prosedur pembedahan di Operating Theatre Rumah Sakit Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang dilakukan (25,81% - 100%) sesuai dengan Surgical Safety Checklist WHO. Sebanyak 62 responden (0%) tidak ditanyakan risiko gangguan jalan napas dan tidak diberikan pulse oksimetri di ruang persiapan. Pulse oksimetri diberikan pada pasien di ruang operasi. Disarankan RS Siloam Palembang untuk melakukan supervisi terhadap pelaksanaan surgical safety terutama pada fase sign in. Guna meningkatkan kinerja tim bedah dengan kesesuaian terhadap SOP.
