Background: Heart attack is a coronary heart disease that occurs when blood flow that carries oxygen to the heart muscle decreases. This is caused by constriction of blood vessels due to plaque formation (atherosclerosis). One of the causes of heart attacks is age, at the age of 45 someone has a 50% chance of having a heart attack (American Heart Association, 2015). The death rate due to heart attack in Indonesia reaches 1.25 million people (Kemenkes, 2014). Some patients understanding of heart attacks is genetic and communicable disease. Research Purposes: to identify a description of level of patients knowledge in Bukit Cikasungka RT 04/RW 011 Tangerang about signs and symptoms of heart attack. Research Methods: This research uses quantitative descriptive methods with univariate analysis techniques. The sample in this study are 80 peoples. The instrument in the study uses a questionnair. This study was conducted in March- June 2020. Results: Research shows that (80%) patients have a good level of knowledge, (16.2%) patient’s have a suf icient level of knowledge, and (3.8%) patient’s have less knowledge about the signs and symptoms of a heart attack. Based on good knowledge in Bukit Cikasungka RT 04 / RW 011 Tangerang, is expected that can help to detect early and treat immediately of a heart attack. Recommendation: Future research can learn about the description of patients knowledge regarding the handling of heart attacks.
