Background: Postpartum is a period in which mothers experience a transition to parental roles and physiological changes in the reproductive organs that last for six weeks after labor depend on each individual. Although the incidence of postpartum depression is difficult to know with certainty, 10-15% of women giving birth are believed to have this condition. About 50% of mothers who experience postpartum depression do not seek help to manage this condition. In Western Indonesia, especially in DKI Jakarta, the prevalence of postpartum depression has reached 18.3%. Aim: This study aimed to determine the overview of the depression level of postpartum depression among postpartum mothers in a region of western Indonesia. Research method: This study used a quantitative description method in the form of an online questionnaire. The instrument used in this study is Beck Depression Inventory version II (BDI-II). The population used in this study is postpartum mothers in Region of Western Indonesia with the amount of sample is 113 by using an accidental sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed univariately. Results: 62,8% categorized as no depression, 15% categorized as mild depression, 16,8% categorized as medium depression, and 5,3% categorized as severe depression. Recommendation: It is recommended to improve the maternal-centered health services for mothers after giving birth, not only to the physical health of the mother but also the mental health of the mother.
