Background: Preschoolers are children aged 4-6 years, at this age preschoolers depend on the golden age during which their development begins to develop a sense of morality, learn about right or wrong and begin to see their emotions. Verbal violence is a special type of psychological violence. The impact that can be caused by verbal violence, namely; Psychological impacts such as challenges, psychological impacts such as emotions, and difficulties, social impacts such as withdrawing from the environment, behaving rudely towards others, and affecting the spiritual. Initiative vs. confidence is a development that will be difficult when children get inappropriate assistance. One of the factors that influence verbal abuse in preschoolers is the parent's knowledge factor because a person's knowledge will affect one's behavior. From interviews conducted with 4-5 parents who are taking the results obtained by parents from verbal words, do not understand and do not care. Objective: to understand parents' knowledge about verbal violence in preschoolers in one of the kindergartens in East Indonesia. Method: This research uses the descriptive quantitative method. The population is the parents of children from one kindergarten in East Indonesia, a sample of 92 parents according to inclusion criteria. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique and the instrument used was a questionnaire. Results: The results showed that the level of law enforcement of parents both numbered 59 respondents (64.1%). Suggestion: it is expected that parents who understand verbal violence to be wiser in educating children because violence in any form can improve children's development.
