Abstract
A good organizational culture improves employees’performance
as the employees strive to improve themselves and to produce a good performance in accordance with company’s expectation. This study consists of background of the study, problem limitation, problem formulation, the purpose of this research and the benefits of the study. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of organizational
culture on employees’ performance at Grand Mercure Medan Angkasa Hotel. Organization culture has the indicators of accuracy, hospitality, responsiveness,and teamwork while employees’ performance has the indicators of employees’
discipline, employees’ responsibility, employees’ capability, employees’ courtesy and friendliness.The method that is being used in data collection is a quantitative research method. The sampling method of this research is probability, simple random sampling where 70 employees of Grand Mercure Medan Angkasa Hotel are selected to fill the questionnaires.The analysis methods in this research are validity test, reliability test, normality test, linearity test, linear regression test, coefficient of determination test and z-test. The results of the analysis show that Organization Culture has effect on Employees’ Performance by 45.2% (R2). From the conclusion of the research, implications and recommendations, this research hopefully can be useful as references for Grand Mercure Medan Angkasa hotel, future researchers and other external parties.
