Patient identification is one of the patient's consistent and continuous safety goals based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in hospitals in the effort to achieve professional health services. Often, however, these standards are often not performed, especially before the administration of drugs or the implementation of certain clinical-examination procedures that can be fatal to the patient. This study aims at identifying the application of patient identification prior to drug delivery by the nurse. This research used descriptive quantitative method with observation design. The population in this research consisted of 116 nurses. The sample of this research sample comprising of 54 respondents, was taken using accidental sampling technique at Siloam Hospital KebunJeruk. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that of 54 respondents nurses in Siloam Hospital KebunJeruk hospital7.4% (4) nurses did not apply active patient identification prior to drug administration completely. Further research can focus on factor spreventing ,nurses have good communication / Identifikasi pasien, merupakan salah satu sasaran keselamatan pasien yang dilakukan secara konsisten dan berkelanjutan berdasarkan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) di rumah sakit dalam berupaya tercapainya pelayanan kesehatan yang profesional. Namun sering kali terjadi standar ini tidak dilakukan khusunya sebelum pemberian obat atau pelaksanaan prosedur-pemeriksaan klinis tertentu yang dapat berakibat fatal bagi pasien.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengali penerapan identifikasi pasien sebelum pemberian obat oleh perawat.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain observasi.Populasi pada penelitian yaitu 116 perawat, sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik accidental sampling pada perawat rawat inap Siloam Hospital Kebun Jeruk yakni sebanyak 54 responden. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 54 responden perawat di ruang rawat inap Siloam Hospital Kebun Jeruk ada 7.4% (4) perawat yang tidak menerapkan identifikasi pasien sebelum pemberian obat dengan standar 100%. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat meneliti dengan focus pada faktor yang menghambat komunikasi perawat.
