Abstract

Eddie Gomez bersama dengan Bill Evans Trio merupakan salah satu tokoh dari era cool jazz. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas pendekatan permainan bas Eddie Gomez dalam lagu yang berjudul “Emily” yang dimainkan bersama Bill Evans Trio. Objek penelitian ini adalah permainan bas Eddie Gomez. Hasil penelitian diperoleh setelah permainan bas Eddie Gomez di transkrip dan dianalisis menggunakan teori-teori musik. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Dari analisis tersebut akan diperoleh kesimpulan mengenai pendekatan Eddie Gomez dalam bermain bas dalam format trio pada lagu birama 3/4.
