Kasus Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) – infected pneumonia (NCIP) telah teridentifikasi pada akhir tahun 2019 di Wuhan, Provinsi Hubei, Cina dan menjadi kasus corona virus ketiga yang menyebabkan krisis kesehatan global. Negara Indonesia termasuk dalam negara terdampak COVID-19. Penularan yang terus meningkat salah satunya berkaitan dengan petugas kesehatan yang di dalamnya termasuk mahasiswa profesi keperawatan yang mempunyai peran penting dalam pencegahan infeksi, isolasi dan kesehatan masyarakat dimasa pandemi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi persepsi dan perilaku mahasiswa profesi keperawatan Universitas Pelita Harapan tentang pencegahan penularan COVID-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 223 mahasiswa profesi keperawatan Universitas Pelita Harapan. Instrumen dalam penelitian menggunakan kuisioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan mahasiswa profesi keperawatan Universitas Pelita Harapan yang berpersepsi dan berperilaku baik dengan hasil persepsi (99,1%) dan perilaku (99,6%) pada perempuan (76,7%), usia 20-23 tahun, serta didominasi oleh suku Batak (32,3%), agama kristen protestan (91,5%) / The case of the Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) - infected pneumonia (NCIP) was identified at the end of 2019 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China and became the third case of the corona virus that caused a global health crisis. Indonesia is one of the countries affected by COVID-19. One of the increasing cases of transmission is related to health workers, including nursing professional students who play an important role in infection prevention, isolation and public health during the pandemic. The purpose of this study was to identify the perceptions and behavior of the Pelita Harapan University nursing professional students regarding the prevention of COVID-19 transmission. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The sample in the study amounted to 223 students of the Pelita Harapan University nursing profession. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is univariate analysis. The results of this study indicate that students of the Pelita Harapan University nursing profession who perceive and behave well with the results of perceptions (99.1%) and behavior (99.6%) in women (76.7%), aged 20-23 years, and dominated by Batak ethnic (32.3%), Protestant Christianity (91.5%).
