Abstract
Employee satisfaction is related to aspects of justice and the feasibility of repaying the services received by employees for their giving performance to the company. When an employee feels satisfaction in working then an employee will make every effort to complete the work, which will ultimately achieve the company's goals. The objective of the study is to test and analyze the impact of motivation
on job satisfaction in Jawara Roti & Kue Medan. The research used some theories of motivation and job satisfaction. Tested factors in this research are motivation as
free variables and work satisfaction as bounded variables
The research used a quantitative approach with the type of quantitative descriptive research and the nature of this research was a descriptive explanatory. The data collection was performed by interview and questionnaire. The research
data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The research populations were all employees consisting of 42 people. The result of the study indicated that motivation has a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction in Jawara Roti & Kue Medan. The coefficient of determination is obtained at 0.459 which indicates that work motivation variables can explain job satisfaction by 21.3% while the remaining 78.93% is explained by other variables not examined in this study, leadership style, work discipline, work stress, and others. In terms of increasing work motivation in companies, it is recommended to better appreciate employee work performance, provide opportunities for employees to develop skills and abilities, improve the quality of social interaction relationships among employees so that they can assist in work, improve relations
between fellow employees and leaders.
