Abstract
Peneliti ini juga menunjukan bahwa tema yang diungkapkan dalam penelitian ini mencerminkan konsep-konsep kunci yang dikutip dalam Theory of Technological Competency as Caring in Nursing yang bisa juga diterapkan dalam pendidikan keperawatan. selain dari praktik keperawatan klinis/Online learning method allows teachers and students to engage in learning activities without being in the same place at the same time. This method usually involves the delivery of and access to learning materials through electronic devices and online platforms. A caring teaching-learning environment is one that facilitates the development of a mutual participative relationship between the teacher and the students to achieve meaningful learning. The competent use of various technologies to support the learning process presents a great potential in creating unique experiences that communicate care in an online learning environment. Thus, the researchers are interested in conducting this research aiming to describe how students’ nurses prefer their teachers to use technology in creating a caring online learning environment. This study utilized Q-methodology. 50 student nurses are selected through purposive sampling participated in this study. The results of this research study show that a caring online learning environment, from the nursing students’ perspective, includes the lecturer being able to: (1) initiate activities that facilitate teacher-learner engagement, (2) appropriately manage of learning activities, and (3) effectively communicate with students. The factors identified in this study shows that the elements of the Theory of Technological Competency as Caring in Nursing can also be applied in nursing education, aside from clinical nursing practice.
