Abstract

Human resource is considered to be one of the most significant resources of business organizations. As the proportion of well-educated workers in business organizations, societies became more understand the important of knowledge increases, human resources also becomes more critical. Human resource development (HRD) refers to a planned process for improving organizational performance through training and employee development, career development, and organizational development. This research was conducted by using quantitative method. Data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used in this research are descriptive statistic, validity test, reliability test, normality test, correlation test, determination test, analysis of linear regression equation, and Z-test. Based on the data analysis, the coefficient of linear regression = 0.369 (positive). This means that training (X) has positive influence towards employee performance (Y). The value of Zcount = 2.0. It means that the hypothesis alternative is accepted because Zcount (2.0) > Ztable (1.96). Therefore, it can be concluded that training has significant impact on employee performance at Ministro Cafe, Medan.
