Abstract
Latar Belakang: Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 (DM Tipe 2) termasuk dalam 10 besar penyakit penyebab kematian utama. Saat ini Indonesia menduduki peringkat ke enam dunia dengan jumlah penderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 terbesar yaitu sebanyak 90% dari seluruh kasus Diabetes Melitus di dunia. Di Indonesia, prevalensi penderita diabetes melitus pada tahun 2013 (2,1%) mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan pada tahun 2007 (1,1%), salah satu faktor resiko penyebab diabetes melitus karena gaya hidup sehari-hari yang kurang sehat dan kurang gerak serta konsumsi makanan yang tidak seimbang secara terus menerus, sehingga akibatnya gula darah selalu tinggi dan mempercepat timbulnya komplikasi. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran gambaran manajemen diet dan pola aktivitas pada penderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di komunitas. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pemilihan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling. Uji statistik menggunakan analisis univariate. Instrumen Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen penelitian kuesioner. Hasil : penderita DM Tipe 2 di komunitas Nias rata – rata memiliki manajemen pola diet yang kurang 83 responden (96.5%). 80.2% (69 responden) memiliki manajemen pola aktivitas yang kurang/Background: Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 (Type 2 diabetes mellitus) is one of the top 10 causes of death in Indonesia and currently Indonesia is ranked sixth in the world with the largest number of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus sufferers, which is 90% of all diabetes mellitus cases in the world. . In Indonesia, the prevalence of diabetes mellitus sufferers in 2013 (2.1%) has increased compared to 2007 (1.1%), one of the risk factors for diabetes mellitus is due to an unhealthy daily lifestyle and lack of movement and consumption. food that is not balanced continuously, so as a result blood sugar is always high and accelerates the onset of complications. Research Objectives: To identify an overview of diet management and activity patterns in people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the community. Methods: This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a cross sectional approach. The sample was selected by purposive sampling. Statistical test using univariate analysis. Research Instruments: This study used a questionnaire research instrument. Results: 83 respondents (96.5%) had less dietary management in Nias community on average. 80.2% (69 respondents) have less activity management.
