Diare merupakan pengeluaran feses dengan konsistensi cair, lembek atau air saja dengan frekuensi tiga kali atau lebih dalam sehari yang disebabkan oleh infeksi mikroorganisme dan ditularkan secara fekal-oral. Faktor penyebab terjadinya diare pada bayi adalah kurangnya pemberian ASI eksklusif. ASI eksklusif merupakan cairan hasil sekresi kelenjar payudara ibu yang diberikan kepada bayi sejak lahir selama enam bulan tanpa menambahkan atau mengganti dengan makanan atau minuman lain. Pada tahun 2018 terdapat 137 kasus diare yang terjadi pada bayi di Jawa Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan kejadian diare bayi (0-6 bulan) di satu Kelurahan, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan desain penelitian cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 239 responden. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner tingkat pengetahuan ibu dan kejadian diare. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai bulan April 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan p value = 0,639 yang artinya tidak terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan kejadian diare bayi (0-6 bulan) di satu Kelurahan Jawa Barat. / Diarrhea is the discharge of feces with a liquid, soft or water consistency with a frequency of three or more times a day caused by infection with microorganisms and transmitted by faecal-oral route. The cause of diarrhea in infants is the lack of exclusive breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding is a liquid secreted by the mother's breast glands that is given to the baby from birth for six months without adding or replacing it with other foods or drinks. In 2018 there were 137 cases of diarrhea that occurred in infants in West Java. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge level about giving exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of infant diarrhea (0-6 months) in one Village West Java. This study uses quantitative research methods with a descriptive approach and a cross sectional research design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and obtained a total sample of 239 respondents. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire on the level of mother's knowledge and the incidence of diarrhea. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis. The time of the study was carried out from January to April 2021. The results showed p value = 0.639, which means that there is no relationship between mother's knowledge level about giving exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of infant diarrhea (0-6 months) in one Village West Java.
