Abstract

Nurse have many roles during patient's treatment. Meeting the needs of the patient must be tailored to the competence of the nurse, so nurses are required to work professionally. The sheer number of workloads of nurses, can make nurses have a poor quality of professional life, which is burnout. Burnout is a mental, emotional, and physical fatigue due to prolonged stress as a result of - trauma so as to allow for errors. The most common mistake in hospital is medication error. The purpose of this study is to know the relation between nurse burnout with the number of medication error in the administration process of medicine at the Siloam Hospitals Kupang. The method used is cross sectional, with total data sampling technique. The research instrument used is ProQoL 5 Version questionnaire and data analysis is used bivariate analysis, with statistical test method using spearman test. There was an occurrence of medication error of 100 times occurrence in the period January to October 2017, with nurses who experienced burnout as many as 8 people or 17.8% of the total respondents. spearman test statistic test found that p = 0,032 (α = 0,05). The conclusion of the study showed a significant relationship between nurse burnout with the incidence of medication error / Peran perawat yang begitu banyak selama pasien menjalani perawatan. Pemenuhan kebutuhan pasien harus disesuaikan dengan kompetensi dari perawat, sehingga perawat dituntut untuk bekerja secara profesional. Banyaknya beban kerja perawat, dapat membuat perawat memiliki Kualitas Hidup Profesional yang buruk, salah satunya adalah burnout. Burnout merupakan kelelahan mental, emosional, dan fisik karena stres berkepanjangan sebagai dampak dari - trauma sehingga memungkinkan terjadinya kesalahan. Kesalahan yang paling banyak terjadi di rumah sakit merupakan medication error. Tujuan untuk diketahuinya hubungan antara burnout perawat dengan jumlah medication error pada proses administrasi obat di ruang rawat inap RSU Siloam Kupang. Metode yang digunakan cross sectional, dengan teknik pengumpulan data total sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner ProQoL Version 5 dan analisa data digunakan analisa bivariat, dengan metode analisis uji statistik menggunakan spearman test. Ditemukan adanya kejadian medication error sebanyak 100 kali kejadian pada periode Januari hingga Oktober 2017, dengan perawat yang mengalami burnout sebanyak 8 orang atau 17,8% dari total responden. uji statistik spearman test ditemukan bahwa p =0,032 (α =0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara burnout perawat dengan kejadian medication error.
