Abstract

Smartphone adalah salah satu media yang mendukung proses pembelajaran mahasiswa. Penggunaan smartphone di masa pandemi COVID-19 menjadi semakin meningkat karena adanya tuntutan untuk melakukan proses pembelajaran secara online. Penggunaan smartphone yang meningkat memberi dampak positif maupun negatif bagi mahasiswa tergantung dari motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Motivasi belajar dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti cita-cita, bakat, kondisi mahasiswa, situasi lingkungan, dan usaha dosen dalam mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan penggunaan smartphone terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa keperawatan tingkat dua di masa pandemi COVID-19. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional, dengan jumlah responden 183 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Penggunaan Smartphone dan Motivasi Belajar yang di adaptasi dari Augusta (2018). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji univariat dan uji Chi Square. Hasil yang didapatkan terdapat hubungan antara penggunaan smartphone dengan motivasi belajar mahasiswa keperawatan di masa pandemi COVID-19 (p-Value = 0,012). Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan mahasiswa keperawatan lebih bijak dalam menggunakan dan memanfaatkan smartphone dalam proses pembelajaran / Smartphones are one of the media that supports the learning process of students. Smartphone usage during the COVID-19 pandemic is increasing due to the demands to conduct online learning. The increasing use of smartphones has a positive and negative impact on students depending on the student's learning motivation. Learning motivation is influenced by several factors such as goals, learning ability, student conditions, student talent, and lecturer's efforts in teaching. This study aims to identify the relationship of smartphone use to the learning motivation of second-level nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research method uses correlational quantitative design, with 183 respondents. The instruments used are smartphone usage questionnaires and learning motivations adapted from Augusta (2018). The data was analyzed using univariate and Chi Square tests. The results obtained there is a link between the use of smartphones and the motivation to study nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic (P-Value = 0.012). Recommendations from this study are expected nursing students are wiser in using and utilizing smartphones in the learning process.
