Abstract
Latar Belakang: COVID-19 adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh mikroorganisme Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) yang menyerang area pernapasan manusia dan menyebabkan masalah serius bagi kesehatan bahkan kematian bagi penderita yang sudah terinfeksi. Perawat yang menangani penyakit ini rata-rata, mengatakan mengalami kelelahan fisik dan psikologis dikarenakan jumlah pasien yang terinfeksi meningkat, adanya kekhawatiran akan terinfeksi dan penggunaan APD (alat pelindung diri) yang tidak nyaman. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat kelelahan perawat dalam merawat pasien COVID-19 di satu Rumah Sakit Swasta di Indonesia bagian Barat. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi pada penelitian adalah seluruh perawat di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Swasta Indonesia Bagian Barat sejumlah 93 orang, dengan sampel 76 responden. Hasil penghitungan sampel yang diteliti berjumlah 76 responden. Hasil : Tingkat kelelahan responden adalah berat 71,05%, sedang 11,84%, dan ringan 17,11%. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar perawat mengalami kelelahan kerja dalam bentuk kategori berat yaitu sebanyak 54 (71,05%) dari 76 responden. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi peneliti selanjutnya terkait kelelahan pada perawat COVID-19./ Background: The Infection COVID-19 is a caused by the microorganism of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) who attacks to the human respiratory system then causing of serious health problems even death. The nurses who handle this disease, on average, experienced physical and psychological fatigue due to the increasing number of infected patients, the fear of being infected, and the uncomfortable use of PPE (personal protective equipment). Research Objectives: To determine the level of fatigue of nurses in caring for COVID-19 patients in a private hospital in Western Indonesia. Research Methods: This study was a quantitative descriptive method with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were all nurses of inpatient ward in Western Indonesia Private Hospital totally 93 nurses, with a sample of 76 respondents. Results: The level of fatigue of the respondents was 71.05%, moderate 11.84%, and light 17.11%. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that most nurses experience work fatigue in the form of severe categories, namely 54 (71.05%) of 76 respondents. This study can be a reference for further researchers related to fatigue in COVID-19 nurses.
