Abstract
High Alert Medications (HAMs) are medications that have high risks of causing injury. Five most dangerous medications include insulins, opiates and narcotics, potassium chloride concentrations or injected phosphates, intravenous anticoagulants and natrium chlorides. Based on the medication error data at Pavilion General Hospital Siloam, there were 17 needle sticks injury of insulins cases in 2015, three cases in 2016 and one case in 2017.The objective of this research was to identify the nurses knowledge in regard with High Alert Medication (HAMs: insulin) at sixth floor of Pavilion General Hospital Siloam Karawaci. This research was a quantitative descriptive study using a modified questionnaire from 35 sample. It is found that most of the nurses were on average level of knowledge (71.42%) regarding HAMs insulin / High Alert Medications (HAMs: Insulin) adalah obat yang memiliki risiko tinggi jika dalam penggunaannya terjadi kesalahan. lima obat yang paling berbahaya yaitu insulin, opiat dan narkotika, Konsentrasi kalium klorida atau fosfat yang disuntikkan, antikoagulan intravena, dan natrium klorida. data medication error di Pavilun Umum Rumah Sakit Siloam Karawaci ditemukan kasus tertusuk jarum yaitu pada tahun 2015 kasus tertusuk jarum insulin 17 kali, ditahun 2016 sebanyak tiga kali, dan ditahun 2017 sebanyak satu kali. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan High Alert Medications (HAMs: insulin) pada perawat lantai enam Paviliun Umum Rumah Sakit Siloam Karawaci. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan total sampling 35 responden yang diukur tingkat pengetahuannya menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pengetahuan perawat masuk dalam kategori pengetahuan baik sebanyak 25 responden (71.42%).
