The research in which communication is the independent variable and employee motivation is the dependent variable, is analyzed by the writer at PT Benua Penta Global Medan. Nowadays, businesses see healthy and effective communication as one important factor that can trigger employees to be more motivated and committed to the organization. Good communication flows help employees to improve their work efficiency and boost their performance level in which is essential fororganization.The purpose of this study is to explore whether there is a significant influence of communication on employee motivation at PT Benua Penta Global Medan.The research includes four indicators of communication flow as follows: downward, upward, horizontal and diagonal communication flow. Whereas the McClleland’s Theory of Needs will be adopted as the indicators of employee motivation, as follow: need for achievement, need for affiliation and need for power. The research designs used by the writer in this research are quantitative descriptive research and causal research. The population in this research is 69 back office employees of PT Benua Penta Global Medan which is also the sample of this research. The method of data collection is done by distributing questionnaires, observations, interviews and literature studies and the variable are measured using a Likert Scale. The technique of data analysis is by using Simple Linear Regression, Coefficient Determination and t-Test.According to the result and analysis of the company, it is concluded that there is a significant impact of communication towards employee motivation at PT Benua Penta Global. Therefore, the HR Manager needs to make certain improvement in particular the communication part of employees, to be more motivated and committed to the company.
