Abstract

Kanker merupakan penyakit yang terdapat dihampir semua organ atau jaringan tubuh manusia. Kanker terjadi ketika sel abnormal tumbuh tidak terkendali dan menyerang bagian tubuh yang berdekatan dan dapat menyebar ke organ lainnya. Pasien dengan kanker seringkali mengalami gejala yang berhubungan dengan aspek fisik, sosial, psikologis dan spiritual. Gejala tersebut dapat memengaruhi kualitas hidup pasien dengan kanker, sehingga pasien dengan kanker membutuhkan dukungan yang berasal dari keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga terhadap kualitas hidup pasien kanker payudara di satu Rumah Sakit Swasta di Indonesia bagian Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif cross -sectional dengan pendekatan deskriptif menggunakan uji chi square. Kuesioner yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu dukungan keluarga yang diambil dari (Dewi, L. N. 2013) dan kuesioner kualitas hidup dari EORTC QLQ C-30 (European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer) yang sudah di uji validitas oleh (Perwitasari et al., 2011). Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 pasien kanker payudara. Hasil penelitian univariat menunjukkan responden berada pada rentang usia 26-65 tahun, 85% responden menjalani kemoterapi. Hasil bivariat menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara dukungan emosional (p value 0.010) dan dukungan informasi (p value 0.008) terhadap kualitas hidup, sedangkan dukungan instrumental dan penghargaan tidak ditemukan hubungan dengan p value 0.200 dan 0.077. / Cancer is a disease that can occurs in almost all organs or tissues of the human body. Cancer occurs when abnormal cells grow out of control and invade specific parts of the body and can spread to other organs. Patients with cancer often experience several symptoms related to physical, social, psychological and spiritual aspects. Those symptoms can affect the quality of life for patients with cancer, so that patients with cancer need support from family. This study aims of the study is to determine the relationship between family support and the quality of life of breast cancer patients in a private hospital in western Indonesia. This study uses a cross-sectional quantitative method with a descriptive approach using the chi square test. The questionnaires used in the study were family support adapted from (Dewi, L. N. 2013) and quality of life from EORTC QLQ C-30 which adapted from Perwitasari et al., 2011). Sampel of this study is 40 patients with breast cancer. The instruments used in this study were a family support questionnaire and a quality-of-life questionnaire. The results of the univariate study showed that respondents were in their 26-65 years old with 85% of them on chemotherapy treatment. Bivariate result shows that emotional (p value 0.010) and information (p value 0.008) support has relationship on quality of life while instrumental and reward supports has no relationship with p value 0.200 and 0.077.
