Background: Stroke is a neurological change due to an interruption in blood supply to the brain that results in hemiparesis or hemiplegia which if not treated properly will result in pressure sores. The decubitus is a disorder of skin integrity due to continuous pressure on the protruding bone. Based on the results of interviews conducted by researchers, the family said they did not take precautionary measures and did not treat the wound. The purpose: To analyze the description of risk factors and prevention of pressure sores in stroke patients. Methods: Systematic Review, the database used by ScienceDirect, Pubmed, Google Scholar. The article evaluation uses critical appraisal from The Joanna Briggs in 2017 with the Simplified Approach approach. Results: Analysis of articles in five articles illustrate the risk factors for pressure sores in stroke patients: decreased sensory perception, skin moisture, immobility, nutritional status and age. While the picture of prevention of pressure sores in stroke patients: bathing, mobilization and use of oil on the protruding bone surface. Suggestion: For further researchers to conduct more specific research on risk factors and prevention of pressure sores in stroke patients using the Quasiexperimental method or the descriptive quantitative method.
