Background : Nursing students know the importance of doing healthy life pattern, but less of students have implemented those life style. One of the factors that influence the healthy life pattern is self effication. High self efficacy makes individuals able to apply healthy life pattern, but if the individuals have low self efficacy makes them hesitate to apply the healthy life pattern. Purpose of research : to find out the relation of self efficacy with the healthy life pattern of nursing students in a private educational institution in West Indonesia. Research Method : This research uses quantitative correlational method with cross sectional approach. Population : the population of the research is the nursing student of 2018 which amounted to 269 respondents using total sampling. Research Instrument : uses self efficacy questionnaire totaling 34 questions and healthy life pattern questionairre totaling 32 questions using chi-square statistical test. Research Result : 53,2 % students have low self effication, 50,9% students have unhealthy life pattern. Recommendation: for further research, it is expected that this research can be used as a reference to conduct further research, with different designs and research methods.
