Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a condition when kidney function has decreased the rate of kidney filtering or filtration for 3 months or more (Ministry of Health, 2017). One of the treatment options for patients with chronic kidney disease is hemodialysis (HD). Hemodialysis is a procedure in which blood is released from the patient's body and circulates in a machine outside the body called a dialyzer. Chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis are often reported to have decreased quality of life. Quality of life is an individual's perception of his position in life, in the cultural context, the value system in which they are and their relationship to life goals, expectations, standards, and other related. Purpose: This literature review aims to describe the Social Support for the Quality of Life of CKD Patients Underwent Hemodialysis. Method: The method used in writing this thesis uses literature review. In searching the literature review, the writer uses three International online databases, One Search, PubMed, Google Scholar and one additional source, Zenodo. Analysis of results: This study uses the simplified approach for analysis of results. Results: an analysis of 5 articles found that social support affects the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis with influencing support being from family social support, social support from friends and social support from health workers. In addition there are characteristics of respondents affecting the quality of life of patients, namely age, sex, marital status, family type, education and occupation and length of hemodialysis. Conclusion: social support must be given to patients undergoing hemodialysis to help improve the quality of life order to create an optimal life.
