Background : Academic dishonesty is a behaviour that is not allowed, but sometimes deliberately done by the students in completing their task by dishonest ways, such as : cheating, plagiarism, stealing/ faking something that is related to academic tasks. Based on the phenomenon that occurs among students, found that there is less understanding of students about academic dishonesty and also sometimes, the students did not realize that they have done an academic dishonesty, because it has been common thing to do that behavior, so it is difficult for students to differ which are the behavior of academic dishonesty and which are not. Objective: to know the perceptions of nursing students about academic dishonesty in Faculty of Nursing at Pelita Harapan University year 2018. Methods: this research used descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was the questionnaire. Data analysis technique that used is descriptive analysis by creating a cross sectional. The Samples that researcher took were 179 respondents. This study was conducted from March to June 2020. Results: the Study showed that 43 students (24,1%) had a positive perception which means the statements in the questionnaire are not included in academic dishonesty, and 136 students (75.9 percent) had negative perception which means included in academic dishonesty. Recommendations: For future researchers, they can also use different methods to obtain data and dig deeper into why academic dishonesty can occur.
