Background: Knowledge is everything that is known, that has been studied and obtained based on theory and experiences so that it can improve the ability of a person, especially nursing students in providing nursing care. One of the activities in providing nursing care is the handover. Handover is a way that is used to convey and receive reports related to the patient's condition. The handover activity is influenced by SBAR communication. SBAR communication is an easy mechanism that is used as a communication or conversation framework used by every health worker to optimize effective communication in the implementation of handover in hospitals. Objective: To figure out the level of nursing profession student knowledge on SBAR communication in the handover. Methode: used is quantitatively descriptive. The sampling technique used is the accidental sampling. Sample on this research is 61 respondents. Research instrument used is online questionnaire about SBAR's knowledge level. VR test result obtained r counts knowledge levels is 0,370-0,615, comprehension levels is 0,366-0,593 and application levels is 0,370-0,627, Cronbach alpha's value is 0,884. Data collected online from May 20 to 27, 2020. Analysis technique used is univariat analysis. Result: showed the majority of respondents (95,1%) have a good level of knowledge. Average value of knowledge 8,13, understanding 5,72, and implementation 5,03. Recommendation: for further researchers to conducting further research the relationship between the characteristics of nursing profession student with the level of knowledge on SBAR communication in the handover.
