Abstract

Sekolah Dian Harapan Bogor is a new Christian school that has only been established for four years. Most of teachers at SDH Bogor, especially the senior department are newly graduated teachers. In teacher training led by Curriculums Coordinator and Teacher Trainer (CC/TT), the role of the shepherd leadership is indispensable. Te aim of this research is to know the role of CC/TT as a shepherd leader in providing training to teachers in senior department and also to know the implementation of the characteristics of CC/TT in shepherding teachers. This research used qualitative approach, namely case study. The CC/TT of SDH senior deparment will be the subject of this studi. The instruments are interviews, questionnaire, and the documents. Open, axial, and selective steps of coding is used to analyze the data. The result of the study is that the CC/TT has played a role of shepherding by knowing, equipping, leading, and protecting teachers. The next finding is that CC/TT has a character as an effective shepherd in teacher training. The result also show that the CC/TT faced a serious challenge about the responsibilities to be handled at the same time/Sekolah Dian Harapan Bogor adalah sekolah Kristen yang baru berdiri empat tahun. Mayoritas guru di SDH Bogor, khususnya departemen senior adalah guru-guru yang baru lulus. Dalam pelatihan guru yang dipimpin oleh Curriculum Coordinator and Teacher Trainer CC/TT, peran kepemimpinan gembala tentunya menjadi hal yang sangat dibutuhkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat peran CC/TT sebagai pemimpin gembala dalam memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru di departemen senior dan juga melihat implementasi karakteristik CC/TT dalam penggembalaan guru-guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan model studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mendapatkan deskripsi secara mendalam. Subjek penelitian adalah CC/TT departemen senior SDH Bogor. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah wawancara, kuesioner, dan studi dokumen. Proses analisis data menggunakan pengkodean terbuka, aksial, dan selektif. Hasil dari penelitian ditemukan bahwa CC/TT menjalankan perannya dalam pelatihan guru sebagai pemimpin gembala dengan mengenal, memperlengkapi, memimpin, dan melindungi guru-guru. Temuan berikutnya adalah bahwa CC/TT memiliki karakter sebagai gembala yang efektif dalam pelatihan guru. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam menjalankan peran ini adalah tanggug jawab mengajar yang masih banyak sehingga tidak cukup waktu untuk menjalankan fungsi penggembalaan.
