Abstract
Based on the writer’s observations PT Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan, several phenomena related to employee performance problems are the work environment that is felt to be less safe and comfortable for employees. The research objective is to assess job motivation at PT. Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan; to evaluate the employee performance at PT. Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan; and to discover whether job motivation has influence on employee performance at PT. Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan.
Motivation of employees in the work place remains one of the sensitive subjects that determine the level of input that employees will put in the organization to commit to good performance.
This research was conducted by using quantitative method. The data analysis methods used in this research are descriptive statistic, validity test, reliability test, normality test, determination test, heteroscedasticity test, analysis of linear regression equation, and T-test. All the population is used as the number of research sample, which is as many as 36 people.
Based on the result of hypothesis test by using T-Test, job motivation has significant influence on employee performance at PT. Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan.
Companies are expected to pay attention to the welfare of employees in the company, so they are able to have high work motivation which can ultimately improve employee performance and organizational performance. Instead of this, the company also needs to provide encouragement to its employees by providing rewards for employees who excel and are able to complete work in accordance with the planned time./Berdasarkan observasi penulis di PT Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan, beberapa fenomena yang berkaitan dengan masalah kinerja karyawan adalah lingkungan kerja yang dirasa kurang aman dan nyaman bagi karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi kerja di PT. Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan; mengevaluasi kinerja karyawan di PT. Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan; dan mencari tahu jika motivasi kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT. Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan.
Motivasi karyawan di tempat kerja tetap menjadi salah satu hal sensitif yang menentukan tingkat komitmen yang akan diberikan karyawan kepada organisasi untuk menghasilkan kinerja yang baik.
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif, uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji determinasi, uji heteroskedastisitas, analisis persamaan regresi linier, dan uji t. Seluruh populasi dijadikan jumlah sampel penelitian yaitu sebanyak 36 orang.
Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t, diketahui bahwa motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. Sinar Baru Plastik, Medan.
Perusahaan diharapkan memperhatikan kesejahteraan karyawan, sehingga karyawan dapat memiliki motivasi kerja yang tinggi, yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan dan kinerja organisasi. Selain itu, perusahaan juga perlu memberikan dorongan kepada karyawannya dengan memberikan penghargaan bagi karyawan yang berprestasi dan mampu menyelesaikan pekerjaan sesuai dengan waktu yang telah direncanakan.
