Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the direct and indirect of demographic factors on employee compensation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Specifically, how do compensation structure and job satisfaction mediate in the link between demographic factors and organizational commitment. The study was conducted in the one of the biggest bank company in Jakarta. Data (n=110) were collected from members of the bank company in Jakarta .This research using simple random sampling. Methods of data collection using questionnaires. The data analysis technique use in research is classic assumption test, goodness of fit, and path analysis with SPSS program. The research results shows demographic factors have a significant influence on organizational commitment with significant score 0.02, demographic factors have not a significant influence on compensation with significant score 0.443, demographic factors have a significant influence on job satisfaction with significant score 0.031, job satisfaction have a significant influence on compensation with significant score 0.00, compensation have a significant influence on organizational commitment with significant score 0.00, job satisfaction have a significant influence on organizational commitment with significant score 0.00 / Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan secara langsung dan tidak langsung mengenai faktor demografi terhadap kompensasi, kepuasan kerja dan komitmen organisasi karyawan. Khususnya, bagaimana pengaruh kompensasi dan kepuasan kerja memediasi faktor demografi dan komitmen organisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada salah satu perusahaan perbankan terbesar di Jakarta. Data sebanyak 110 sampel dikumpulkan dari karyawan perusahaan PT. XYZ. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji Asumsi Klasik, Uji Ketepatan Model dan Uji Analisis Jalur dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor demografi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi dengan nilai signifikansi 0.02, faktor demografi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kompensasi dengan nilai signifikansi 0.443, faktor demografi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan nilai signifikansi 0.031, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kompensasi dengan nilai signifikansi 0.00, kompensasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi dengan nilai signifikansi 0.00, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi dengan nilai signifikansi 0.00.
