Semakin berkembangnya teknologi dari alat pembayaran, menciptakan sebuah teknologi baru yang disebut dengan cryptocurrency yaitu teknologi yang berbasis pada blockchain yang digunakan sebagai mata uang digital global. Walaupun pada dasarnya pemerintah masih melarang cryptocurrency dijadikan sebagai mata uang yang sah dengan diperkuat dengan peraturan undang-undang yang masih berlaku yang dibuat oleh bank Indonesia dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2011 tentang Mata Uang. Namun telah diakui menjadi aset digital yang dapat diinvestasikan karena penawaran dan permintaan yang besar di Indonesia dan telah terdapat peraturan penunjang dalam pengawasan kegiatan tersebut yaitu dalam peraturan Menteri Perdagangan Nomor 99 Tahun 2018 dan dalam peraturan Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi Nomor 5 Tahun 2019 tentang Ketentuan Teknis penyelenggaraan Pasar Fisik Aset Kripto (Crypto Asset) di Bursa berjangka . Rumusan masalah yang dibahas adalah bagaimana proses penawaran umum perdana (IPO) perusahaan penyedia aset kripto dan bagaimana peran notaris dalam proses IPO tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah normative deskriptif, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, metode penawaran umum pada perusahaan aset kripto dilakukan sama seperti perusahaan lain dan notaris pasar modal yang memiliki peran sebagai profesi penunjang dalam pasar modal yang turut melaksanakan proses IPO tersebut./The development of technology of means of payment, creating a new technology called cryptocurrency is a technology based on the blockchain which is used as a digital currency global. Although basically the government still prohibits cryptocurrency to be used as the lawful currency with a strengthened with the regulatory legislation still in force made by the bank Indonesia Act No. 7 of 2011 about the Currency. However it has been recognized to be a digital asset that can be invested because of supply and demand in Indonesia and has been there supporting regulations in the supervision of such activities, namely in the Minister of Trade regulation No. 99 Of 2018 and in the regulations of the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency Number 5 in 2019 about the Provisions of the Technical organization of the Market in Physical Assets Crypto (Crypto Assets) in the futures market . The formulation of the problem discussed is how the process of initial public offering (IPO) a leading provider of asset crypto and how the role of the notary in the process of the IPO. . The research method used is normative, descriptive, the research results show that, the method of the public offering on the company's assets crypto performed the same as other companies and notaries of the capital market that have a role as supporting professionals in the capital market that also carry out the process of the IPO.
