Abstract

All business owners want to have employees who are competent and perform well in their own fields. As City Kost Palembang experience in deteriorating employees’ performance, business owners can apply performance appraisal and rewards on the business. Performance appraisal and reward can play a powerful role in shaping and reshaping employee work attitude, increase employee motivation, satisfaction and performance. Thus, improving the performance of the organization. In this research, the writer used quantitative research design and IBM SPSS Statistics V.25 application. The writer used descriptive and causal research. The sampling technique used is census sampling method. The population will be all of the employees, 48 employees at City Kost Palembang, South Sumatra. Based on the result of hypothesis test, Performance Appraisal and Rewards have influence on Employees’ Performance at City Kost Palembang, South Sumatra, either partially or simultaneously. Furthermore, performance appraisal and rewards have 88% influence on employees’ performance. This research also passed the validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression test and the equation is Y=0.113+0.558X1+0.375X2. The recommendation for the company is the owner must execute performance appraisal, reward, and training to motivate employees. Also, the company is recommended to use a fingerprint attendance to speed up the process of calculating employees’ absenteeism and the process of providing allowances./ Semua pemilik bisnis pasti ingin memiliki karyawan yang berkompeten dan berkinerja baik di bidangnya masing-masing. Seperti pengalaman City Kost Palembang dalam memburuknya kinerja karyawan, pemilik bisnis dapat menerapkan penilaian kinerja dan penghargaan pada bisnisnya. Penilaian kinerja dan penghargaan dapat memainkan peran yang kuat dalam membentuk dan membentuk kembali sikap kerja karyawan, meningkatkan motivasi, kepuasan dan kinerja karyawan, sehingga meningkatkan kinerja organisasi. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dan aplikasi IBM SPSS Statistics V.25. Penulis menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dan kausal. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode pengambilan sampel sensus. Populasinya adalah seluruh karyawan yaitu 48 karyawan di City Kost Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, Penilaian Kinerja dan Penghargaan berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja Pegawai di City Kost Palembang, Sumatera Selatan baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Selain itu, penilaian kinerja dan penghargaan memiliki pengaruh sebesar 88% terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini juga lolos uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji multikolinieritas, uji heteroskedastisitas, analisis regresi linier berganda dan persamaannya adalah Y=0.113+0.558X1+0.375X2. Rekomendasi bagi perusahaan adalah pemilik harus melakukan penilaian kinerja, pemberian penghargaan untuk memotivasi karyawan, melakukan pelatihan, dan menggunakan sidik jari absensi untuk mempercepat proses penghitungan absensi karyawan dan proses pemberian tunjangan.
