Abstract
Pada bulan Desember 2019, ditemukan virus berjenis baru yang dinamakan SARSCoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2). Virus tersebut menyerang organ pernapasan manusia. Pada bulan Maret 2020 ditemukan kasus pertama COVID-19 di Indonesia. Setelah sepuluh bulan berjalan ditemukan satu juta kasus COVID-19 di Indonesia. Salah satu solusi dalam menangani penyebaran virus SARS-CoV-2 adalah dengan menggunakan masker, mencuci tangan dan menghindari kontak fisik. Pada toilet umum telah ditemukan banyak alat yang mengurangi kontak fisik menggunakan tangan, karena tangan adalah salah satu bagian yang rawan dan dapat membawa virus COVID-19 ke hidung, mulut ataupun mata. Berdasarkan pengamatan terdapat bagian pada toilet yang tidak dilengkapi dengan alat yang mengurangi kontak fisik yaitu kunci pintu toilet. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membuat kunci pintu toilet yang tidak dioperasikan menggunakan tangan melainkan menggunakan kaki. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode QFD (Quality Function Deployment) di mana hasil kebutuhan dan kepentingan yang didapat, digunakan dalam pembuatan produk. Produk berbentuk foot lock dihasilkan pada penelitian. Terdapat kelebihan dan kekurangan dari foot lock yang dibuat. Kelebihan dari foot lock adalah gunanya yang tetap menjaga kebersihan dari pengguna, kunci yang tidak macet dan ketahanan beban yang dapat mencapai 20 kg. tetapi terdapat kelemahan yaitu foot lock memiliki waktu kinerja 8,21% lebih lama dari kunci toilet berbentuk gerendel di mana perbedaannya sangat signifikan. / In December 2019, a new type of virus was discovered called SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2). The virus attacks the human respiratory organs. In March 2020, the first case of COVID-19 was found in Indonesia. After ten months, one million cases of COVID-19 were found in Indonesia. One of the best solution in dealing with the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is to use masks, washing hands and avoid physical contact. In public toilets, many tools have been found that reduce physical contact using hands, because hands are one of the vulnerable parts and can carry the COVID-19 virus to the nose, mouth or eyes. Based on observations, there are parts of the toilet that are not equipped with tools that reduce physical contact using hands. Where that part is the toilet door. Based on this case, it encourages researchers to conduct a research on toilet door locks that do not use hands but use feet instead in the operation. The research was conducted using the QFD (Quality Function Development) and Part Deployment Matrix methods where the results obtained were used in the manufacture of products. The foot lock is type of product was produced in this research. There are advantages and disadvantages of the foot lock. The advantages of the foot lock are maintaining the cleanliness of the user, the lock is not jammed and the load resistance can reach 20 kg. but there is a drawback, the foot lock has a performance time 8,21% longer than the barrel bolt type toilet lock where the difference is very significant.
