Abstract

Business has been a major role in life and people have been doing it since ages ago. Over the years, competition between companies are increasing and each company has been coming up with ways to improve their business to get maximum benefit. One of improving business is to manage the inside of the company, that includes the employee. The more productive the employees are, the more effective the company is. The main purpose of this research is to see whether factors like Training and Working Environment has an effect on the Employee Productivity at PT Gajah Agro Indonesia, Binjai. PT Gajah Agro Indonesia, Binjai is a company that runs in agricultural sector which produces and exports coconut shell charcoal and dry konjac chip. The sample are 63 people which is gathered by using probability sampling technique and the census sampling method. This research uses quantitative descriptive and causal method for data analyzation. The collection of data is done by distributing questionnaires as well as interviews. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression. The F-test result shows that training and working environment indeed have simultaneous effect on employee productivity at PT Gajah Agro Indonesia, Binjai. The t-test result also shows that training has influence over employee productivity at PT Gajah Agro Indonesia, Binjai and working environment has influence over employee productivity at PT Gajah Agro Indonesia, Binjai. The regression model of this research is Y = 6.139+0.246X_1+0.735X_2 which shows that Working Environment has bigger effect than Training over Employee Productivity./Bisnis telah menjadi peran utama dalam kehidupan dan orang-orang telah melakukannya sejak berabad-abad yang lalu. Selama bertahun-tahun, persaingan antar perusahaan semakin meningkat dan setiap perusahaan selalu berusaha menemukan cara untuk memperkuat bisnis mereka agar mendapatkan keuntungan maksimal. Salah satu cara untuk mengembangkan bisnis adalah dengan mengatur bagian dalam perusahaan, yaitu para pekerja. Semakin produktif pekerja, maka semakin efektif perusahaan tersebut. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti apakah factor-faktor seperti Pelatihan dan Lingkungan Kerja mempunyai pengaruh terhadap Produktivitas Karyawan di PT Gajah Agro Indonesia, Binjai. Sampel sejumlah 63 orang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik probability sampling dan metode sensus sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan metode kausal untuk analisis data. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner serta wawancara. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil uji F menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan lingkungan kerja memiliki pengaruh terhadap produktivitas karyawan di PT Gajah Agro Indonesia, Binjai. Uji t juga menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan mempengaruhi produktivitas karyawan di PT Gajah Agro Indonesia, Binjai dan lingkungan kerja juga mempengaruhi produktivitas karyawan di PT Gajah Agro Indonesia, Binjai. Model regresi penelitian ini adalah Y = 6.139+0.246X_1+0.735X_2 yang menunjukkan bahwa Lingkungan Kerja memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar daripada Pelatihan terhadap Produktivitas Karyawan.
