Abstract
Employees play an important role in preserving the image of the organization’s success. This research was conducted at PT Multi Sari Idaman Medan.
In this study, the method used by the author is a quantitative analysis method. The type of data used in this study is primary data and secondary data. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and questionnaires distributed to employees. The population amounted to 51 employees and the sample of the study amounted to 51 employees. This study uses a census sampling method by taking all population as samples to be tested using SPSS. The scale used to measure variables is the Likert scale.
Based on the results of simple regression, it obtained a simple or single correlation coefficient (R) of 0.699 for the job satisfaction variable on the employee performance variable. The R value of 0.699 indicates a strong relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance variables. The coefficient of determination which can be seen from the results of the R square of 0.489 that 48.9% of employee performance is explained by job satisfaction and the remaining 51.1% is explained by other variables outside of this research, namely leadership, training, compensation. The results of the partial test explained that significant value of 0.000 <0.05, then job satisfaction influences employee performance at PT Multi Sari Idaman Medan./Karyawan merupakan peran yang penting dalam melestarikan citra sukses organisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT Multi Sari Idaman Medan.
Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan penulis adalah metode analisis kuantitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada karyawan. Populasi berjumlah 51 karyawan dan sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 51 karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sensus sampling dengan mengambil sejumlah populasi sebagai sampel untuk diuji menggunakan SPSS. Skala yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel adalah skala likert.
Berdasarkan hasil regresi sederhana diperoleh koefisien korelasi sederhana atau tunggal (R) sebesar 0,699 untuk variabel kepuasan kerja terhadap variabel kinerja pegawai. Nilai R sebesar 0,699 menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang kuat antara kepuasan kerja terhadap variabel kinerja pegawai. Koefisien determinasi yang dapat dilihat dari hasil R square sebesar 0,489 bahwa kinerja pegawai sebesar 48,9% dijelaskan oleh kepuasan kerja dan sisanya 51,1% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini yaitu kepemimpinan, pelatihan, kompensasi. Hasil uji parsial dapat dijelaskan bahwa nilai signifikan 0,000 <0,05 maka kepuasan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Multi Sari Idaman Medan.
