Theoretical Background: Non Hemorrhagic Stroke is disorder in the brain due to the blockage of brain blood vessels (Osborn, Wraa, Watson, and Holleran, 2010). Characteristics of stroke patients can be seen from demographic data which includes age, gender, education level, marital status, health status and history of disease (Wardhani & Martini, 2015). Aim: To describe the characteristics of stroke Patients. Research Method: The research uses a literature review method with a systematic approach or known as Systematic Literature Review (SLR) regarding the characteristics of stroke patients. Results: 10 articles reviewed, the characteristics of age of most stroke patients are 45-74 years, youngest 17 years and oldest 80 years; the sex often found is male; stroke classification often experienced is non-hemorrhagic stroke; education of patients often experienced stroke from elementary school - tertiary institutions; employment status often has stroke is not working-low economic level; risk factors often occur are hypertension, DM, cholesterol, dyslipidemia; a history of diseases often occur in stroke patients are hypertension, DM, dyslipidemia; and LOS of non-hemorrhagic stroke patients 6.84 days and 10.64 days hemorrhagic stroke. Conclusion: Researchers found themes of age, sex, occupation, education, stroke classification, disease history, risk factors and LOS.
