Abstract

Financial statement provides many important data that reflects the financial condition of a company in a certain period of time. The data shown inside the financial statement could be very useful in predicting the financial condition of the company and in the decision making. Financial distress and bankruptcy could be avoided if the condition is being foreseen and being handled beforehand. This research aims to analyze the effect of predicting financial distress by using profitability, liquidity, and cash flow. This research is conducted by using quantitative method with the secondary data collected from the financial statements of transportation companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample will be taken from 44 samples from year 2016 to 2019. This research is using multiple linear regression model and assisted by using IBM SPSS 25.0. The result of this research is profitability has a significant effect towards financial distress, liquidity has a significant effect towards financial distress, cash flow has an insignificant effect towards financial distress, and profitability, liquidity and cash flow simultaneously have significant effect towards financial distress. / Laporan keuangan menyajikan banyak data penting yang menggambarkan keadaan finansial dari suatu perusahaan pada periode waktu tertentu. Data yang terdapat didalam laporan keuangan sangatlah berguna untuk memprediksi keadaan finansial perusahaan tersebut dan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Financial distress dan kebangkrutan dapat dihindari jika keadaan tersebut telah diprediksi dan ditangani sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh memprediksi financial distress dengan menggunakan profitabilitas, likuiditas dan laporan arus kas. Penilitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan data sekunder yang dikumpulkan dari laporan keuangan perusahaan transportasi yang terdaftar di bursa efek Indonesia. Sampel dari penelitian ini akan diambil dari 44 sampel dari tahun 2016 sampai 2019. Data analisis ini menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda, dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan IBM SPSS 25.0. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah profitabilitas memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap financial distress, likuiditas memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap financial distress, laporan arus kas memiliki pengaruh tidak signifikan terharap financial distress, dan profitabilitas, likuiditas dan laporan arus kas secara serentak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap financial distress.
