Background: Gastritis is one of the most common illnesses suffered by students, this is due to irregular eating patterns, poor lifestyle and piling up of lecture assignments that trigger stress to depression. Based on the results of the initial data collection survey conducted by researchers on 20 respondents; Biology education study program students found that students who have knowledge and behavioral prevention of gastritis are 45% good, 30% good enough and the rest are in the low category so that researchers are interested in doing this research. Research Objectives: To determine the relationship between knowledge and prevention behavior of undergraduate students in biology education study programs at a private university in western Indonesia. Research Methods: This study uses a correlative descriptive design with quantitative research. Sampling using accidental sampling (convenience sampling) with a total of 62 respondents. Existing data are processed and analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis. Results: The statistical test results obtained p value = 0,000 <α = 0.05 which shows there is a relationship between knowledge and behavioral prevention of gastritis in biology education study program students at a private university in western Indonesia. Recommendation: In future studies, it is expected that researchers can conduct further research on the analysis of factors related to knowledge and behavioral prevention of gastritis with a variety of different methods and more samples.
