Abstract

The existence of valid and timely information about natural disasters is very important in Indonesia, which is known as one of the disaster-prone countries. In addition, community participation in reporting disaster events around them is a contribution that should be appreciated. However, every report submitted by the community needs to be properly verified. Reports from verified communities including the reporter's geolocation data can be used to update the disaster data visualization. In this case, the medium that is considered appropriate to accommodate the reporting in question is the website. Through the website, geological disaster reports can be submitted from various locations. This means that the website can reach more users. The purpose of this research is to develop a web application for visualization of natural disaster data in Indonesia. This interactive application was built using the prototyping method. The main programming language used is PHP to build websites. The second language is Python which is used for data collection. For visualization of geological disaster data in Indonesia, Power BI is used. The modeling language used is UML 2.5 to design use case diagrams, activity diagrams and class diagrams of existing problems. Based on testing following the blackbox method, the application in general has worked as expected. However, the user location function based on the map from the mapbox still needs improvement until it works in its entirety. It is hoped that this application, in addition to accommodating the reporting needs of the community, can be used in decision making by those responsible for post-disaster management such as disaster mitigation and infrastructure decisions.
