Abstract

Kulit buah manggis (Garcinia mangostana L.) diketahui memiliki berbagai aktivitas dalam pengobatan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan skrining fitokimia dan uji bioaktivitas terhadap ekstrak kulit buah manggis segar hasil maserasi dengan etanol 70%, bertujuan untuk mengetahui golongan senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terkandung dan efek bioaktivitas dalam ekstrak tersebut. Hasil skrining fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa sampel uji positif mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin dan steroid serta triterpenoid. Hasil studi literatur terkait uji bioaktivitas dengan metode BSLT membuktikan bahwa seluruh senyawa yang terkandung dalam sampel uji memiliki efek toksisitas dan mekanisme kerja yang berbeda-beda untuk membunuh Artemia salina L. / Mangosteen rind (Garcinia mangostana L.) is known to have various medicinal activities. In this study, phytochemical screening and bioactivity tests were carried out on macerated fresh mangosteen rind extract with 70% ethanol, aiming to determine the class of secondary metabolites contained and the effect of bioactivity in the extract. The results of the phytochemical screening showed that the positive test sample contained alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins and steroids as well as triterpenoids. The results of the literature study related to the bioactivity test using the BSLT method proved that all the compounds contained in the test samples had different tocix effects and working mechanisms to kill Artemia salina L.
