Land registration is a very important thing to be done by holders in order to obtain legal certainty by obtaining physical evidence, namely the certificate of land right which is an authentic deed. As an organizer of land registration, the National Land Office or BPN must optimize the land registration service, to carry out the duties and functions of BPN in the regions, BPN Regional Offices are formed in the provinces and Land Offices in the districts/cities. Based on that things, this research is carried out on the implementation of the principles of land registration carried out by the National Land Office, in this case by Tangerang City Land Office & West Jakarta Administrative City Land Office related with land registration for the first time. In order to find out how the principles of land registration have been applied, are there obstacles and how the general public knows, understands that in Indonesian laws and regulations there are principles that can facilitate the peoples in the land registration process. To examine these issues, has been done joint research between normative and empirical legal research and qualitative data analysis techniques by collecting primary and secondary data and used as analysis material. The result of these research show that overall, the principles of land registration have been implemented properly and in accordance with existing regulations but it is also known that there are things that need to be developed to maximize the implementation of these principles.
