The Copyright Law is a government effort to protect creators and rights owners' economic rights and moral rights. The misuse of economic rights and moral rights can scrape the creators' motivation and creativeness and cause material or immaterial losses. This study aims to discover how Copyright protection against sketches regulated in Law Number 28 the year 2014 concerning Copyright and determine the suitability of the legal considerations of the Judge against Law Number 28 the year 2014 concerning Copyright, as seen from the Decision Number 35/Pdt.Sus-Copyright/2020/PN Niaga Jkt. Pst. This research is normative research with a statute approach. The results indicated that protection toward the Selamat Datang Monument sketches is included in the protection that has not been announced. However, the Selamat Datang Monument sketch has been registered on the Ministry of Law and Human Rights at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Number HKI.2-KI.01.01-193 dated October 25, 2019, regarding the record of the transfer of rights to a registered work Number 46190. Then, the judge's consideration in the Decision on Case 35/Pdt.Sus- Copyright/2020/PN Niaga Jkt. Pst both in exceptions, principal cases, conventions, and reconventions, it follows Law Number 28 the year 2014 concerning Copyright where the articles used are Article 40 and Article 58.
