Abstract

Untuk mengukur ketercapaian dalam pembelajaran diperlukan alat ukur. Salah satu alat atau cara untuk mengevaluasi setiap proses pembelajaran adalah dengan melihat Academic Achievement. Academic achievement dapat menunjukan kesiapan siswa dalam proses belajar untuk menempuh proses yang lebih tinggi lagi. Dengan melihat hasil belajar kita dapat menentukan langkah selanjutnya. Pada prakteknya tingkat ketercapaian belajar siswa sangat bervariasi dan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai hal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan wawasan lebih lanjut dengan mengukur pengaruh self-regulation dan self-motivation terhadap academic achievement, yaitu sebagai bahan referensi dalam membuat penelitian-penelitian lainnya terkait dengan variabel pada penelitian sejenis dan menjadi sumber bacaan yang memberikan pengetahuan lebih luas serta bermanfaat bagi pembaca. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa/i kelas dua sekolah XYZ, dengan 46 siswa terdiri dari 22 siswa laki-laki dan 24 siswa perempuan, yang berlokasi di Sunter Jakarta utara. Metode yang dipakai adalah structural equation modeling (SEM) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa self-regulation berpengaruh positif terhadap academic achievement sebesar 0,069. Self-motivation berpengaruh positif terhadap academic achievement sebesar 0,215 dan self-regulation berpengaruh positif terhadap academic achievement melalui self-motivation sebesar 0,174. / To measure achievement in learning, a measuring instrument is needed. One of the tools or ways to evaluate each learning process is to look at academic achievement. Academic achievement can show student’s readiness in the learning process to take a higher process. By looking at the learning outcomes we can determine the next step. In practice, the level of student learning achievement varies widely and is influenced by various things. The purpose of this study was to provide further insight by measuring the effect of self-regulation and self-motivation on academic achievement, namely as a reference material in making other studies related to variables in similar studies and as a source of reading that provides broader and useful knowledge. The subjects in this study were second grade students of XYZ school, with 46 students consisting of 22 male students and 24 female students, which is located in Sunter North Jakarta. The method used is structural equation modeling (SEM) with a quantitative approach. The result showed that self-regulation had a positive effect on academic achievement of 0,069. Self-motivation has a positive effect on academic achievement of 0,125. Self-regulation has a positive effect on academic achievement through self-motivation of 0,174.
