Abstract

In this pandemic era, schools are not allowed to perform on-site learning. Home learning or distance learning has been implemented as an alternative to this situation. This kind of learning requires the students to learn autonomously since they do not come to school and meet their teachers face-to-face. However, the students’ autonomy in learning is below what is expected. This classroom action research was aimed to enhance learner autonomy through self-reflections in a flipped classroom model. The subjects consisted of 36 students of X IPA 3 at SMAK PENABUR Kota Wisata. The mixed methods were used to analyze the data collected from the questionnaires, interviews, and some documentation. The data from the questionnaires were analyzed to assess their autonomy viewed from seven different aspects and the data from the interviews were used to obtain the qualitative data in order to support the quantitative data from the questionnaires. The results have indicated that there are 27 students whose autonomy has developed and six of them have increased their autonomy levels. There are nine students whose autonomy is still undeveloped and there is one who has decreased his autonomy level instead.
