Abstract

Kata Kunci Lupus Eritematosus Sistemik, stres, kualitas hidup, pandemi COVID – 19 / Background Sistemic Lupus Eritematosus (SLE) is one of an autoimmune disease with at least five million cases in the world and estimated incidence about sixteen thousand cases every year. SLE familiar with a remission and exacerbation episode. External and Internal factor can effected the frequency of remission and exacerbation episode of SLE, one of the factor is stress. In times of COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of stress happen in all aspect like social, economic, also physical and mental health that can worsen the condition of SLE that can affect the quality of life of SLE sufferer. Research Objectives To determine the correlation between score stress level and the quality of life in SLE in the era of pandemic COVID-19 and determine the stress score level in SLE Methods This type of research is a correlative analytic study, which uses a cross – sectional study design. Sample of this research is 54 people and is a sufferer of SLE. Sampling was done by non – probability method and data collection will be done from January 2021 to May 2021 by filling out the questionnaire form. The result of collected data will be processed using Pearson’s correlation test with SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 25.0. Confounding variable will be processed with T test analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis. Result In this study, 47 samples were obtained who filled out the questionnaire, although 54 samples were needed in the calculation of the sample, but by using the statistical power test calculated using the G * Power software, a strong power was obtained with 47 samples. stress scores in all samples have an average of 21, it is mean the samples have a moderate stress score level. The quality of life of the sample is divided into two major components, namely physical and mental components, where the average score of physical component is 67 and the mental component is 63, it is means they have a good quality of life. A total of 81% of the sample was under 50 years old and 19% of the sample was over 50 years old. A total of 43% of the sample worked and 57% of the sample did not work. As many as 93% of the sample have sufficient economic level and 7% of the sample have insufficient economic level. A total of 93% of the sample had good family support and 7% of the sample did not have good family support. The results of this study showed that there was no significant correlation between the level of stress scores and the quality of life of SLE patients, both physically and mentally (p value = 0.220 & 0.145). Another factor that also affects the quality of life of SLE patients is the level of understanding of SLE patients towards their disease and the mental health of SLE patients. In the pandemic era, sufficient physical activity by exercising at home also improves the quality of life of SLE patients, not only doing enough physical activity, but a healthier diet and sufficient free time to rest also play an important role in the quality of life of SLE patients.
