Abstract
Bahasa Indonesia learning as one of the media to train students' language skills in aspects of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. These skills are mandatory for every student, thus creating challenges for teachers who teach in schools that use a foreign language as the main language of instruction and students who do not use Bahasa in their daily life. Bahasa Indonesia learning requires methods with creative and innovative approaches, such as self-introducing, and retelling. Distance learning conditions need to be supported by creating interactive learning in the classroom so that the learning process can be active, effective, dynamic, and fun. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of the methods of self-introducing and retelling on Bahasa Indonesia speaking skills of Grade 1 students. Data collection techniques used student video in presenting the three methods. The sample of this study was 32 Grade 1 students of the academic year 2020/2021. From the results of this study, it was found that 1) self-introduction had an effect of 33% on oral communication skills, 2) retelling had an effect of 56% on oral communication skills. / Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia merupakan salah satu media untuk melatih kemampuan komunikasi oral siswa dalam aspek keterampilan mendengarkan, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Keterampilan ini wajib dimiliki setiap siswa sehingga menciptakan tantangan tersendiri untuk para guru yang mengajar di sekolah yang menggunakan bahasa asing sebagai bahasa pengantar utama dan para siswa yang tidak menggunakan bahasa Indonesia dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Maka pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia memerlukan cara pendekatan kreatif dan inovatif, seperti memperkenalkan diri dan menceritakan kembali. Selain itu, kondisi pembelajaran jarak jauh juga harus didukung dengan menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif di kelas sehingga proses pembelajaran kemampuan komunikasi oral dapat berlangsung aktif, efektif, dinamis, dan menyenangkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat pengaruh kemampuan memperkenalkan diri, dan menceritakan kembali terhadap kemampuan komunikasi oral siswa pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Kelas 1. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan rekaman video siswa untuk menyajikan aktivitas pembelajaran dalam ketiga kemampuan tersebut. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa Kelas 1 tahun akademik 2020/2021. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa 1) kemampuan memperkenalkan diri berpengaruh sebesar 33 % terhadap kemampuan komunikasi oral siswa, 2) kemampuan menceritakan kembali berpengaruh sebesar 56 % terhadap kemampuan komunikasi oral siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi oral siswa.
