Abstract

Latar belakang: Edukasi adalah proses pengajaran dengan tujuan agar dapat mengembangkan pengetahuan dan potensi. Berdasarkan SUSENAS –tahun 2018 terdapat 35,7% masyarakat Indonesia yang aktif berolahraga. Data ini menunjukan bahwa hanya terdapat kurang lebih sepertiga masyarakat Indonesia yang aktif berolahraga. Melihat manfaat olahraga yang begitu banyak, maka diharapkan masyarakat memiliki pemahaman yang baik dan benar mengenai kegiatan berolahraga. Untuk itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana edukasi memberikan pengaruh terhadap pemahaman masyarakat dalam hal berolahraga demi mencapai masyarakat Indonesia yang sehat dan masyarakat yang memiliki kualitas kesehatan yang baik dan juga berdampak pada angka harapan hidup nasional. Tujuan penelitian : Mengetahui pengaruh edukasi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman berolahraga masyarakat Indonesia berusia 18 sampai 64 tahun. Metode penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi eksperimental (one group pretest-posttest design) terhadap 110 sampel masyarakat Indonesia yang berusia 18 sampai 64 tahun, dengan teknik sampling purposive dan uji korelasi Wilcoxon. Hasil : Menunjukan bahwa edukasi meningkatkan pemahaman tentang berolahraga dengan P<0,001. Kesimpulan : Edukasi terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman berolaraga pada masyarakat Indonesia berusia 18 sampai 64 tahun. Kata kunci : Edukasi, Pemahaman, Olahraga. / Background : Education is a process to educate aimed to develop knowledge and potential. Based on SUSENAS – 2018, there are only 35,7% of our Indonesian that exercise regularly. This survey proved that there are only about one third people that actually exercise actively. With so many benefits and positive impacts that we could get by exercising, it is expected to see our society to have decent knowledge and understanding about physical exercise. Therefore, this study is aimed to find out how the educated intervention impact our society's knowledge on exercising so that we will achieve a healthy society with great health quality that will further impact on our national life expectancy Aim : To learn the impact of intervention education to increase the physical exercise knowledge of Indonesians with age range from 18 until 64 years old. Research Methods : This study was done by using the experimental method (one group pretest-posttest design) towards the 110 samples of Indonesians with age from 18 until 64 years old with purposive sampling and Wilcoxon analitic study. Results : The result showed that the intervention education increased the knowledge of participant with P<0,001. Conclusion : Intervention education is proven to increase knowledge about physical exercise in Indonesian with age range from 18 until 64 years old. Keywords : Education, Knowledge, Exercise
