Abstract

Menjadikan pendidikan sebagai proses belajar yang berlangsung seumur hidup merupakan salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan mutu sumber daya manusia agar dapat memiliki keterampilan-keterampilan yang dibutuhkan di masa mendatang dan dapat berkompetisi secara global. Untuk menunjang hal tersebut perlu diterapkan strategi belajar yang dapat melatih siswa untuk memiliki motivasi dan kemandirian belajar dalam menguasai konsep pelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan penguasaan konsep, motivasi dan kemandirian belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA melalui penerapan strategi self-regulated learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan desain penelitian one group pretest- posttest design. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 14 siswa kelas VIIB di SMP Bani Saleh 2 Bekasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah berupa tes tertulis dan kuesioner yang dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa dengan katergori peningkatan sedang, motivasi belajar siswa dengan kategori peningkatan rendah, dan kemandirian belajar siswa dengan kategori peningkatan sedang setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan strategi self-regulated learning pada pelajaran IPA / Establishing education as a learning process in daily basis is one of the ways to improve the quality of human resources so that learners are equipped with skills that prepare them to compete in the future globally. Therefore, implementing learning strategies are needed to train learners so they can have motivation and become independent learner in mastering the concept of science subject. This research is aimed to analyaze the enhancement of students’ mastery concept, learning motivation and learning independency in science subject through the implementation of self-regulated learning strategy. This research is an experimental research that using one group pretest-posttest design. There are 14 learners in grade 8 of SMP Bani Saleh 2 Bekasi who are the subject of the research. Written test and questionnaire are the two instruments that are used in this research. Those instruments are analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of this research show that there are enhancement of students’ mastery concept with medium category of enhancement, learning motivation with low category of enhancement and learning independency with medium category of enhancement in science subject after implementation of self-regulated learning strategy
