Abstract

Latar belakang : Salah satu gangguan kepribadian yang dapat terjadi di era globalisasi ini adalah gangguan kepribadian menghindar (AVPD). AVPD merupakan gangguan yang menyebabkan seorang tidak mampu menerima penolakkan dari lingkungan secara berlebihan. Walaupun telah dilakukan penelitian sebelumnya di Norwegia bahwa tingkat kecemasan berlebebih memiliki kaitan dengan kejadian gangguan kepribadian menghindar dan menyatakan adanya pengaruh positif antara penggunaan Instagram terhadap gangguan ansietas dan depresi, namun belum ada yang meneliti mengenai pengaruh adiksi Instagram terhadap gangguan kepribadian menghindar pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui pengaruh adiksi Instagram terhadap kejadian gangguan kepribadian menghindar pada mahasiswa praklinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross sectional. Sampel diambil secara langsung dari mahasiswa praklinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan dengan jumlah sampel 68 orang. Pemilihan subjek dilakukan dengan metode simple random sampling. Tingkat adiksi diukur menggunakan kuesioner Test for Instagram Addiction (TIA), sedangkan untuk menilai risiko gangguan kepribadian menghindar diukur menggunakan kuesioner Hopkins Symptoms Checklist-10 (HSCL-10) . Hasil penelitian ini akan di analisis menggunakan IBM SPSS versi 25.0 dan uji Chi square. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 68 subjek terdiri dari 48 perempuan dan 20 laki-laki, didapakan hasil tingkat adiksi minimal hingga rendah 45 orang (66.2 %) dan rata-rata 23 orang (33.8 %), sedangkan yang memiliki kecenderungan AVPD 48 orang (29.4 %) dan kecenderungan tidak 48 orang (70.6 %). Hasil uji Chi Square menunjukkan perbedaan yang tidak bermakna dengan nilai p-value = 0.120 dan Odd Ratio = 2.621. Bila dibandingkan dengan penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya, mengenai pengaruh adiksi media sosial Instagram terhadap kejadian gangguan kepribadian menghindar, menunjukkan adanya perbedaan dan persamaan pada hasil penelitian tersebut. Hal tersebut diduga karena adanya perbedaan sampel penelitian dan kuesioner yang digunakan. Kesimpulan: Pada penelitian ini, tidak terdapat kebermaknaan antara adiksi media sosial Instagram terhadap kejadian gangguan kepribadian menghindar pada mahasiswa praklinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Kata kunci : Adiksi, Instagram, Gangguan Kepribadian Menghindar. / Background : One of the personality disorders that can occur in this globalization era is avoidant personality disorder (AVPD). AVPD is a disorder that causes a person to be unable to accept excessive rejection from the environment. Although previous research has been conducted in Norway that excessive levels of anxiety have a relationship with the incidence of avoidant personality disorder and stated that there is a positive influence between the use of Instagram on anxiety disorders and depression, no one has investigated the effect of Instagram addiction on avoidant personality disorder in students of the Faculty of Medicine. Objective : To determine the effect of Instagram addiction on the incidence of avoidant personality disorder in preclinical students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pelita Harapan. Methods : This study used a cross sectional method. Samples were taken directly from preclinical students of the Faculty of Medicine in University of Pelita Harapan with a sample size of 68 people. The selection of subjects was carried out using the simple random sampling method. The level of addiction was measured using the Test for Instagram Addiction (TIA) questionnaire, while to assess the risk of avoidant personality disorder it was measured using the Hopkins Symptoms Checklist-10 (HSCL-10) questionnaire. The results of this study will be analyzed using the IBM SPSS version 25.0 and Chi square test. Results and Discussion: This study was conducted on 68 subjects consisting of 48 women and 20 men, the results obtained from a minimum to low level of addiction is 45 people (66.2%) and an average of 23 people (33.8%), while those who have a tendency to AVPD are 48 people (29.4%) and has no tendency is 48 people (70.6%). The results of the Chi Square test showed a non-significant difference with p-value = 0.120 and Odd Ratio = 2.621. When compared with previous studies, regarding the effect of Instagram social media addiction on the incidence of avoidant personality disorder, there are differences and similarities in the results of these studies. This is presumably due to differences in the research sample and the questionnaire used. Conclusion: In this study, there was no significant relationship between Instagram social media addiction and avoidant personality disorder in preclinical students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.
