Abstract
Minat belajar siswa adalah aspek penting yang menjadi perhatian guru dalam
pembelajaran. Siswa memerlukan dorongan dari luar agar dapat memiliki minat
belajar yang stabil. Faktanya, penulis menemukan bahwa siswa kelas II SD di salah
satu sekolah Jakarta, memiliki minat belajar yang kurang seperti, lama menjawab
pertanyaan guru. Masalah tersebut muncul, karena media pembelajaran yang
digunakan kurang menarik. Solusi yang dilakukan guru, untuk mengatasi masalah
tersebut adalah menggunakan media powerpoint. Tujuan penulisan paper ini adalah
untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan media powerpoint sebagai upaya
menumbuhkan minat belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah
metode kualitatif deskriptif. Guru Kristen berperan lebih dari sekedar fasilitator,
melalui kreativitasnya guru Kristen memfasilitasi pembelajaran siswa, yang mampu
membawa siswa pada pengenalan dan pengetahuan akan Allah, serta bertumbuh
dalam iman kepada Kristus. Hasilnya, penggunaan media powerpoint dapat
menumbuhkan minat belajar siswa melalui gambar, pemilihan background, warna,
jenis huruf, efek animasi, dan transisi yang menarik. Saran yang diberikan adalah
guru mengoptimalkan keterampilannya menggunakan fitur-fitur dalam powerpoint
melalui pelatihan, tutorial dan workshop. Guru menggunakan gambar 3 dimensi,
video, dan games dalam powerpoint. Guru menggunakan media powerpoint
dibarengi dengan metode mengajar yang tepat. Untuk penelitian selajutnya, dapat
menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dan memberikan data kuantitatif
yang terukur melalui skala atau tabel./Students learning interests are important aspect that concerns teachers in learning.
Students need outside encouragement to have a stable interest in learning. The
authors foumd that grade II elementary school students at one of Jakarta’s schools
had less interest in learning such as long answering teacher questions. The problem
arises because the learning media used is less interesting. The solution that teachers
can do, to overcome the problem is to use PowerPoint media. The purpose of
writing this paper is to describe the use of PowerPoint media as an effort to foster
students learning interests. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative
method. Christian teachers have a role that is more than just a facilitator, through
creativity Christian teachers can facilitate student learning, who can bring students
to the knowledge of God, and grow in faith in Christ. As a result, the use of
PowerPoint media can foster students learning interests through images, background selection, color, typefaces, animation effects, and interesting
transitions. The advice given is that the teacher optimize his skills using interesting
features in PowerPoint through training, YouTube tutorials, and workshops.
Teachers use 3-dimensional images, videos, and games in PowerPoints. Teachers
use PowerPoint media coupled with the right teaching methods. For future research,
can use the classroom action research method and provide quantitative data that is
measured through scales or tables.
