Abstract

Kedisiplinan masih menjadi permasalahan dalam dunia pendidikan, seperti yang ditemukan penulis pada saat melakukan praktik mengajar di sebuah sekolah Kristen di Lampung. Permasalahan yang muncul antara lain seperti siswa yang mematikan mic teman pada saat pembelajaran, terlambat masuk kelas, dan terlambat mengumpulkan tugas. Peran guru hadir sebagai penuntun untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Melalui peran guru sebagai penuntun, guru Kristen mendisiplinkan siswa berdasarkan konsep in loco parentis yang sesuai dengan prinsip Alkitab. Dalam Amsal 3:11-12, Tuhan mendidik orang yang dikasihiNya, demikian juga guru mendidik siswa sebagai wujud kasih. Penekanannya disini adalah guru menuntun siswa dalam kedisiplinan dengan kasih yaitu dengan menegur, menasihati, memotivasi, dan mempertimbangkan setiap tindakan yang diambil guna membawa siswa kepada perubahan yang baik. Dengan demikian tujuan dari pendidikan Kristen yaitu mentransformasi siswa dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan tujuan penulisan yaitu memaparkan bagaimana peran guru sebagai penuntun dalam konsep in loco parentis mengatasi permasalahan kedisiplinan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketika guru melakukan perannya sebagai penuntun dalam mendisiplinkan siswa berdasarkan konsep in loco parentis, membuat perubahan perilaku terhadap diri siswa. Saran yang diberikan penulis adalah dalam menerapkan kedisiplinan bagi siswa, guru harus menerapkannya dengan konsisten / Discipline is still a problem in the world of education, as the author found when doing teaching practice at a Christian school in Lampung. Problems that arise include students turning off their friends' mics during learning, being late for class, and being late in collecting assignments. The role of the teacher is present as a guide to overcoming these problems. Through the teacher's role as a guide, Christian teachers discipline students based on the concept of in loco parentis following biblical principles. In Proverbs 3:11-12, God educates those He loves, so the teacher educates students as an expression of love. The emphasis here is that the teacher guides students in discipline with love, namely by reprimanding, advising, motivating, and considering every action taken to bring students to good change. Thus the goal of Christian education, which is to transform students, can be achieved. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with the aim of writing that is to explain how the role of the teacher as a guide in the concept of in loco parentis overcomes student discipline problems in learning. The results showed that when the teacher performed his role as a guide in disciplining students based on the concept of in loco parentis, they made behavioral changes to the students themselves. The advice given by the author is that in applying discipline to students, teachers must apply it consistently.
